General Information
Tax Deduction for Educational Expenses: An income tax deduction is permitted for educational expenses (registration fees, cost of travel, lodging, and books) undertaken to (1) maintain or improve skills required in one's employment or business, or (2) meet express requirements of an employer imposed as a condition to retention of employment, rate status, or compensation. Meals and beverages may be deductible up to 50 percent.

The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel is the place to be for this year's Outdoor Action Conference. NGWA has secured a block of rooms at the meeting site for the convenience of exhibitors and attendees. Reservations received by the Hilton after March 1, 1997, will be accepted based on space and rate availability at the time received.
Las Vegas is a popular tourist destination, special packages which include airfare and hotel are often available for reasonable rates. Check with your travel agent of travel club to get the best deal. Rates for all hotels are subject to applicable tax (currently 8.0 %). Saturday night accommodations may be difficult to obtain, so make plans early.
NGWA secures a block of rooms at the headquarters hotel for your convenience months in advance. Most hotels have adopted a policy of yield management, which means room rates can change daily. For this reason, NGWA cannot guarantee the rates stated in this brochure to be the lowest possible. We encourage you to check with your travel agent to determine the best hotel and airline for your needs. NGWA neither recommends nor endorses a specific hotel property or airline.
